Pampering

For our Anniversary, we WERE going to go to the Anniversary Inn in Salt Lake City. I've heard that the rooms were very fun & classy, but looking on their website, they all looked really silly & tacky to me. But, we booked one, and planned to go, excited to be together. But the A.C. broke in our room, so they called us and told us the room wasn't available. So, we looked for something else fun to do.

So, with much begging on Tracie's part and much begging not to on my part, we went to a Spa on Saturday and were pampered. Tracie got a facial, a 1/2 hour massage and an hour long pedicure, I decided just going was enough, the facial would be too feminine even for me, so I got an hour long massage (heaven) and a 1/2 hour pedicure.

That's right. Austin got a pedicure. Don't judge me. Or, you can if you want to. It was nice. I'd been vehemently against pedicures, as I just didn't think they were for boys, but, as I've seen some of the feet in my family, as well as my own, I decided that a pedicure might not be a horrible idea. So I got one. They didn't paint my toenails, my feet feel better, and I'm no less of a man than I was before.

The massage was GOOOOOOOOOOD. I was surprised how relaxing it was, and how comfortable I was with a stranger massaging me. Oh well. I highly recommend it to all the boys and girls alike. You'll be glad you did.

I concur about the pedicures. I avoided getting one for so long, but now (as I feared) I'm addicted.

Too bad about your room, we stayed there once and it was nice. Sounds like you got some relaxation anyway. Happy Anniversary, late!

Now you belong to the club of "men who like pedicures". Don't worry, there are many men that do like to indulge in a little bit of pampering. Alan and Tyler included. One thing that I would like to indulge in is a facial. I've never had one, but I hear that I need to try it out. Glad that you were able to do something for yourselves for your anniversary. Boy those two years flew by pretty fast.

I love getting spa pampered. I used to go when Seth and Cade were younger, and Ryan would treat me to a total spa package once or twice a year with a facial, full body massage, and a pedicure.

I don't care if we are a man, woman. EVERYONE should get spa pampered like this on a regular basis.

Kudos to you for doing so, and not caring what the world thinks.

Pedicures are just about the most amazing thing in the world. I was shocked at the amazingness of them, actually. I'm glad you enjoyed yours!

Ooooh, sounds like a great anniversary! I would love to do a double spa day sometime soon...or at least me going to a spa...or really any type of massage. I think I feel my back muscles tightening, I NEED one. Yes, it is a NEED and not a want.

Every time Jeff and I have stayed there it was awsome. We have had zero problems. Sorry to hear about your room. By the way which one was it?

It was the wagon room. I don't mean to offend anyone who has gone and loved it, I understand pictures can be deceiving, and I'm sure we'll go one day and absolutely love it! Thanks for everybody's comments, I swear I'll write another entry just as soon as I think of something clever or at least interesting to write about!
