Deciding to Draw

No Nanowrimo for me for 2010. I have 150 more 1/2 hour sketchbook drawings to do before December, so I'm going to spend my spare time doing that instead of writing a story. This will be the first time I've not attempted NaNoWriMo in 3 years.

So, to my writer friends, you have to do Nanowrimo for me. No excuses, unless they're as good as mine.

I like the lady of the lake sketch - and wow - 150 is a full sketch book
Can you at least do a few sketches of Moby?

That's one of my favorite illustrator's work, Aubrey Beardsley.

And I would if he would hold still!

I hate the idea of Nanowrimo, but I guess I can try it this year. Only for you, Austin.

Thank you, Jake. You have to write at least 30,000 words, as that was my goal.

Why do you hate the idea of NaNoWriMo?

It sounds like a lot of hard work and effort for a minimal reward. I have a feeling that halfway through it I'm just gonna start typing "aaa a aa aaaa aaaaaa aaa aaa aaaa aaa." Actually, now that sounds like fun.

At first I thought you'd drawn that sketch as well, very cool. It looks like a bookplate.

The only thing lamer than NaNoWriMo is Movember. Sorry if I've offended anyone. I don't need to grow a mustache to prove that I hate cancer any more than i need to dedicate myself to write X number of pages/words each day.

I say bully for you. Let's see more sketches.

Anyways, if a picture (or sketch) is worth a thousand words then 30 sketches ought to do you just fine for this month.

I wish I had drawn that, thanks. Your belief in me far exceeds my talents. :)

I'd never heard of "Movember" until you mentioned it, weird.

And I'm not offended, but I like NaNoWriMo because it gives me an excuse to write and I feel a sort of camaraderie knowing there are thousands of others out there also endeavoring to write a novel, and it's inspiring.

But so are your words of encouragement. (Bully for you is good, yes?)

And I hope my next sketch, a "Self-Portrait with a Halloween-twist" turns out well.
